2017 Audi A8L — Matte Gold Star-Spoke 2-Piece Forged with Brushed Polished Lip (22″)

Model: RC118-17XXT (22105)

An A8L owner came to XINGTU wanting a wheel that elevated the flagship saloon’s understated luxury with a bold, jewelry-grade contrast — a matte deep-gold multi-star spoke center against a bright brushed-polished aluminum outer lip. The build was specified as a true 2-piece forged construction with a full 22″ diameter to fill the long-wheelbase A8L’s arches while remaining OEM-hub-correct. XINGTU machined the set to exact Audi D4 hub, bolt pattern, and offset.

    Engineering Notes

XINGTU's engineers built this as a true 2-piece forged wheel — the multi-star spoke face is forged from 6061-T6 with continuous grain flow, then bolted to a separately forged barrel using torque-spec, pressure-tested stainless hardware (the visible bolt ring around the lip). On a flagship saloon like the A8L — a roughly 2-tonne aluminum-space-frame executive car — that bolted joint is the critical detail: XINGTU's engineers torque each fastener to spec and pressure-test the assembly for seal so the face and barrel behave as one unit under cornering and highway cruising loads.

Two finishing details XINGTU's engineers gave extra attention to. First, the matte gold finish is not spray-painted decorative color — it is a controlled matte powder-coat over the CNC-machined face, cured under controlled temperature so the gold reads as a solid metallic tone rather than a glossy accent. Second, the brushed polished lip is a two-step process — XINGTU's engineers first CNC-machine the barrel to a fine radial grain, then hand-polish the outer flange to a mirror finish, so the lip catches light dramatically while the barrel body keeps the machined-aluminum texture visible.

XINGTU's engineers also flagged the lug-seat question to the customer: the spec plate does not list seat type, and Audi platforms use different geometries — this must be confirmed against the customer's actual A8L before production. The 66.6 mm bore is machined hub-centric to the Audi D4 platform, so the wheel rides on the hub, not the studs.

—the concept and the reality match precisely. The matte deep-gold star-spoke face sits inside a bright brushed-polished aluminum lip, punctuated by fine hardware around the barrel joint, delivering a jewelry-grade look that elevates the A8L's presence without shouting. XINGTU-branded center cap installed as standard—publish-ready. True 2-piece construction, 800 kg-per-wheel load-rated, and bolt-on ready (pending lug-seat confirmation).
